“Utilizing conservation and education as stepping stones towards a future where humans live in harmony with wildlife.”
The Tikki Hywood Foundation strives to bring awareness and sound conservation practice to the plight of lesser known and endangered animals globally. We aim to increase awareness of the conservation tool that is legislation and are constantly seeking ways of improving and upholding the laws that protect fauna and flora.
As the Tikki Hywood Foundation we operate as a 24 hour wildlife rescue centre and are also available to advise or assist wild animal cases around Africa and the globe. We have an expansive view of conservation and preservation of all species and therefore also ardently campaign the cause of animal rights and welfare worldwide.
Lisa Hywood founded the Tikki Hywood Foundation in 1994, as a, wildlife based, Non-Governmental Organization, in memory of her father, the late Tikki Hywood. Tikki was a man who always looked to the future with optimism. His generous and thoughtful nature, combined with a love of the wild and an ability to achieve results, has inspired the basic tenets of the Foundation. Above all, he was a committed Zimbabwean who put the National interest ahead of personal and business considerations. This rarity of character and integrity are and will remain the driving force behind the Tikki Hywood Foundation.
